I take home a ‘Mekhela Chador’ every time I visit Assam: Raveena

Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon Sunday said a ‘Mekhela Chador’ is something that she buys for herself every time she gets a chance to visit Assam.

The ravishing Bollywood actor who had even starred in Kalpana Lajmi’s movie ‘Daman’ and won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Durga Saikia said she would like Assam to remain clean and green as it has been since the past many years and decades.

“I have been to Assam since the past 25 years and every time I come here I take home a ‘Mekhela Chador’ for myself,” the actor said.

“I want Assam to be green and clean for which it is known for,” she added.

Raveena was in Guwahati to launch ‘The Blue Window’ interior design boutique. She hoped that the outlet will be able to cater to the growing demand for state-of-the-art interior designing among people and believed the outlet would be a one-stop destination for home décor and designing needs of people of the city.
